A Little Catch Up, Part 2...Plus, an Announcement!
Hi friends!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Before we gather with friends and family, I wanted to send out some final words before the holiday.
This year has been a tough one, marked by an overwhelming sense of helplessness. I have felt it in my personal life, but I’ve also seen it in those around me—and those farther away, too (every time I tune into the news)! It’s very easy to get bogged down in the hardships and uncertainties surrounding us.
With that said, I don’t want to dismiss all the good that’s still around. There’s still a lot I’m grateful for. That feeling of helplessness, though…it’s been weighing on me.
So, as a small offering, I made these mini, everlasting bouquets that I’ve put on Etsy. They go on sale Friday, November 29.

Using the technique of making a boutonniere, I arranged these petite floral bouquets using dried blossoms, foliage, and other natural elements. Then I wrapped them in velvet ribbon. From neutral whites, tans, and grays to more colorful palettes, no two are alike.
We’re now in the thick of holiday season, and I imagine each mini bouquet as a small surcee to bring a little added brightness to the long nights of winter.
· Use them as place settings at your holiday table.
· Fasten them to a wrapped gift for a cheerful finishing touch.
· Wear them as a long-lasting boutonniere or corsage on your winter coat.
· You can also set them out on a nightstand or desk as a simple way to bring more flowers into your life.
With each purchase, I’m donating 10% to the recovery efforts for those impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton.
I carry a real sentiment for Asheville, North Carolina. Ever since I saw the devastation of the mountain town with its thriving art and music scene, I have been thinking of those who lost their studios, their artwork, their homes. And it hits a particular nerve after losing my home. I also understand now that to recover and heal takes so long. Even though these storms hit a few months ago, folks still need help.
I’d love it if you considered ordering a mini dried bouquet or pass this along to someone who needs more flowers in their life.
Head over to my Etsy shop on Friday.
Thank you for reading this and all the continued support! I’m very grateful for everyone who takes the time to read my writing and listen to my podcast. I hope Thanksgiving gives you a chance to relax and celebrate all that you have with all the loved ones in your life. And I hope there are flowers at your table.
Cheers!
Allison
